Yeah pretty much agree with a small caveat: We did not get to this moment in american history solely through a lack of good communication from the left, though that is a factor. There has also been an enormous amount of bad faith actors on the right and downright maliciousness. There have been deliberate efforts by bigots to persuade many americans that many other american are not worthy of their humanity. I think this is important to hold onto because we run the risk of losing allies on the left when we place too focus on our lown lack of communication as the cause of our current situation. My 2 cents.

But otherwise, yeah. I agree.

All that I am seeing here is "let's be the bigger person" and "when they go low.." Well, we tried to do that and look at where we are now. 10,000 government officials fired. Thoughts and tariffs. Woman shot dead by ICE in the street. At some point, you have to realize that your family is racist and resentful of the progress that minorities are making in this country.

No amount of podcast listening will convince that they're not better than someone because they are White. It starts at home, and it starts with education. I don't care if you convert one Billy Bob. The other nine are still racist. Your conservative in-laws are only "kind" to YOU because you are White.

Out here proposing legislation for someone who actively called for violence against the Left. The jokes write themselves. Maybe it's the culture of passive aggressiveness and submissiveness in your community that allows you to bargain with those who want us back in chains.

You're not an ally.
